    Fall 2011 6 Week Session

    Fitness Class Schedule

    6 Week Session of Class at the FWC Starting in Dec & Jan

    5:30am-6:30am (M/W/F) Early Water Aerobics: (6 Week Session Starting Dec 5th) A action-packed, high intensity workout in the pool.  Build-up your cardiovascular endurance, burn calories, and improve the range of motion in your joints, while having fun! This class involves shallow and deep water exercises.

    5:30am-6:30am (M/W/F) STRENGTH and Toning: (6 wk session starts Dec 19th) A class with no cardio just lifting and toning that body.  If you are looking to gain some muscle or tone up that body than this class is for you.  We will pump you up.

    8:00am-9:00am (M/W/F) Over 50 & Fit: (6 wk session starts Jan 2nd) A low/no impact aerobic class for a great healthy heart.  Toning and stretching part of class can either be done seated or standing.  A great compliment to water aerobics.  Class is designed for those over 50, but anyone is welcome.

    9:00am-10:00am (M/W/F) Senior Water Aerobics: (6 wk session starts Jan 2nd) All weight bearing stress on the joints is removed in the water.  Improve muscle strength, circulation, balance, and flexibility in this aquatics class for men or women.  No swimming ability necessary.  Try out the beach ball volleyball on Friday's!!!

    5:30pm-6:30pm (M) 5:00pm-6:00pm (W) and 4:30pm-5:30pm (T/TH) (3 Week session starting Dec. 5th)

    Evening Water Aerobics: An action-packed, high intensity workout in the pool.  Build-up your cardiovascular endurance, burn calories, and improve the range of motion in your joints, while having fun! This class involves shallow and deep water exercises. (prices vary)

    5:45pm-6:45pm (M/W) Total Body Conditioning: (6 wk session starts Dec 19th) You will get an all-around workout in the high intensity aerobics class!!!  Total Body Conditioning will include step aerobics, land aerobics, strength training, ab workouts, and stretching.

    FWC 3-Week Dodgeball League

    January 23rd - February 6th

    Mondays: 7:00pm - 8:00pm @ FWC

    Grades 6th- Adult    

        Teams: 6-10 players(6 people play during the game)

    Pick your captain, Name your Teamm, and Play some Dodgeball!!

    Don't have a team; sign-up each week or

    all 3 weeks and we'll find you a team!!!

    Non-members: $2 (per person each week)

    FWC 5th Annual Winter CHALLENGE!!

     Triathlon or Duathlon

     February 1st – April 2nd

     

    Cost $15 for adult

             $10 for youth

    Indoor Sports Program

    3rd - 5th Grade

     

    The ISP is a 4 week program where each week we will focus on a different sport and get the children acquainted with these different sports.  The children wil lneed to bring swim apparel on the fourth night and a clean pair of tennis shoes the rest of the time

     

    When: Mondays at 6:30pm - 7:30pm

    Feb 13th - March 5th

     

    Cost: $5.00 for members and $10.00 for non-members

     

    Where: FWC

     

    SPORTS:  Track and Field, Basketball, Volleyball, and Swimming


    Live Healthy Iowa @ FWC

     

    It's not too late to sign up a team for Live Healthy Iowa (LHI) 100 day challenge.  You can sign up individually and be put on a FWC team or sign up and form your own team.  Team consists of 2-10 people.  You need a valid email address to sign-up.

     

    Cost: $15 for each participant

    If you are a non-member of the FWC than you would have to purchase a day pass or membership if you would want to use the facility

     

    How to track the activity and time?

    We have a book at the front desk so after your activity minutes at the FWC or home it can be written down in the book.  Just ask the front desk for the book.
